Since I am new to "blogging," don't expect this to be anything overly impressive. This whole concept seems strange, but I am hoping my family and friends can keep up with what I'm doing while in Paris for a year two years!

Conflicts...

I had my first phone interview with a potential au pair family last Wednesday! Yay for progress. It was an hour long phone conversation and I fell even more in love with the family than before.  I think now that I have decided 100% that this is my next plan of action in life, I am excited about the new perspective it brings to my life.

But, I'm not going to lie... I've been a bit conflicted these days. I'm still in love with the idea of being an au pair and the thought of spending a year in Europe brings a huge smile to my face.  But-there's a whole other path that appeals to me, too, which is finding a full-time job in event coordination/planning. Making  a legit salary and not "pocket money." It means making progress in my anticipated career and (hopefully) doing something I love 6 days a week. Although the economy is definitely not cooperating like it should, I don't think I am either.  I have been putting off making a "permanent" move maybe because I am just not ready.  On the flip side, am I ready to be broke for another year plus? Do I want to put off starting a real job?

I'm leaving my plans up to the big man in the sky....and that's alright with me.
