Since I am new to "blogging," don't expect this to be anything overly impressive. This whole concept seems strange, but I am hoping my family and friends can keep up with what I'm doing while in Paris for a year two years!

Mmm...

Have been enjoying a little bit of my Granny's homemade chocolate pound cake...one of my favorites in her repertoire.

Happy Fall Y'all!

Okay, so I have taken quite some time off....maybe because I've been so busy, maybe because my life is just not as exciting since returning to the great United States of America...or maybe I've just been too lazy.  Either way, its no excuse!!  I have been visiting friends and family here, there, and yonder....just to visit, to do some job searching, weddings, babies, etc.  I just told my mom this morning I don't know what I've been doing the past two months but I have been going nonstop!  I've decided the easiest way to sum the past month up is in pictures....so here it goes!

The whole "weigh your yogurt" Sweet CeCe's and YaYa's concept that obviously came about while I was in France for two years.
Love it.  YaYa's in Oxford, MS
Went to Knoxville for the weekend for one of my cousin's engagement parties and I got to spend a day with this little one....whom I might love more than anything in this world!! We had such a fun time together and I can't wait to do it again!

Landon and his homemade slime...he wasn't so sure about it at first!
First karate class.
Love, love LOVE him.
Spent a weekend in Memphis hanging out with Hannah, Jey, Laura and Taylor and had so much fun.  It was so good to see them again!

Was outside the restaurant where we ate lunch.  "White Trash Limo Co."
Red Velvet Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Corner, Memphis, TN.
I have been able to spend a significant amount of time with this little monster that I love just as much as little Landon!  He is so fun to be around and reminds me of the good times I had with Marie-Césare.

In his "cage" in the hammock in the backyard.
I planned/coordinated a wedding for one of my dearest childhood friends, Amanda Allen last weekend.  It was a whirlwind time...and I haven't run around that much tidying up details in quite some time, but it was so worth it and she was so happy.  She had the wedding in her parents' backyard underneath a canopy of twinkle lights and tiki torches.  Her tables were accented with burlap and mason jars filled with white hydrangeas, baby's breath, and carnations made by yours truly.

At the rehearsal dinner.
Drinks.
Ceremony space...looked so much prettier at sunset!
Seeing each other for the first time.
Aren't they sweet?

Smore's bar...was SUCH a hit.
Can't wait for her professional photos to come in!

After a 16 hour day I was exhausted and ready to crash in the bed...but it wasn't but a few hours later I woke up on Sunday at 4:30 am to drive to Asheville, NC!  My dearest Ukrainian friend, Olga, was getting married on Sunday the 16th in Cashiers, NC.  She had literally been telling me the date for a year...so there were no excuses for me not to be there.  Her wedding was down near a creek by their house deep in the mountains of Cullowhee, NC.  Small, quiet, with just a few close friends and family (including her immediate family who had flown all the way in from the Ukraine!).   The wedding and reception were both beautiful, but perhaps what I loved the most was finally meeting her family.  There was a definite language barrier, seeing as how I don't speak anything close to Russian/Ukrainian...but they were the sweetest, kindest, most welcoming family I have ever met.

Sunrise over Highway 64.
Olga and her father.

Sweet dahlia's that grow like weeds in Cashiers this time of year.
The most beautiful, yet simple cake I have ever seen.  It was stunning....not to mention delicious!

She was so grateful to have me there....even though we didn't get to spend as much time together as we would have liked.  I was just happy I could be a part of her special day!!

Sliced brisket sandwich from Schaffer's Meat Market in Summertown....lunch date with my granny!
Spent today with my mom running errands for my stepbrother's wedding and visiting the rehearsal dinner site out at Dixie Oaks.  We roamed around Amish country for a little bit afterwards searching for pumpkins and gourds and hit the motherload.  For those of you who don't know, the small county where I live in Tennessee has a rather large Amish population to the north.  Depending on the season, it is a popular place to buy veggies, jams, fruits, pumpkins, quilts, molasses, etc. for literally a fraction of the price you would pay at a store in town.

Today was a beautiful first day of fall and I'm so glad I was able to spend it out and about enjoying the weather!

Trying to spend my time applying for jobs, helping plan Kaelah and Mike's wedding, excited for Laine to come home next weekend, and spending qt with my sweet grandparents!
